The Mount Olive Free Will Baptist Church
is seeking a Pastor whose lifestyle conforms to the scriptural
standards for ministry as recorded in 1 Timothy 3: 2-7 and Titus
1:6-9. The Senior Pastor shall serve as the chief shepherd/officer
of the local church and the primary leader/teacher of the church.
In relation to sermon preparation, he should give considerable
time to the study of the Word and teach the Scriptures to our
church family by word and example, ministering to the spiritual
needs of the church membership and surrounding communities.
The Ministry of the Senior Pastor's position should encompass
the following areas:
(1) Preaching and leadership development, (2) Worship and
devotional leadership, (3) Teaching and discipleship, (4) Evangelism
and Outreach development (5) Vision and Ministry creativity,
(5) Strategic planning and congregational relations (6) Pastoral
counseling and pastoral care.
The successful candidate must meet the following criteria:
- 3 years of Pastor experience (preferred)
- 5 to 10 years Christian experience
- Minimum of 5 years experience in ministerial leadership and
church administration (with a proven track record of sound fiscal
responsibility, decision making and management)
- Ability to preach the doctrinal truths of the Word of God
in a traditional Baptist church.
- Ability to lead by respect, trust, acceptance, discovery
and depth to build up the body of Christ.
- Participant with church conventions; as well as local, annual
and general organizations.
- Provide an effective Christian Education program structure
for all ages and ministries.
- Good counseling, communication and organizational leadership
skill and abilities;
- Dependable and confident in handling personal manners;
- Wisdom, knowledge, understanding and spiritual discernment
of spiritual matters;
- Visionary with a vision for the future of the church and
community;
- Education beyond high school and has been/is involved in
continuing education, such as seminars, workshops, college and
seminary studies.
- Good educational background in theology (preferred) combined
with ministerial training.

- Copy of Ministerial License and Certificate of Ordination
- Verification of completion of all accredited theological
training
- A recent sermons on DVD or CD (at least 10 minutes in length)
